Ask-a-Tech:
Question:

"My car shakes at certain speeds. What causes this?"

Answer:

"Your car can shake for a number of reasons. If it is at a certain speed, say between 50-70 mph, it is most likely due to an improperly balanced tire, something that’s generally a cheap fix. However, more serious conditions can be attributed to a shifted steel belt in a tire, a lose or worn front-end component, or even a problem with a wheel bearing. It is best to consult your automotive professional as a shake is not only a safety concern, but it’ll probably be a pretty uncomfortable ride, to boot."
